Faculty of Aerospace Engineering

About Us

As aerospace engineering is the symbol of a country's advanced technology, the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering at K. N. Toosi University of Technology is one of the most significant faculties contributing to the development of science and technology in this field. Aerospace engineering is concerned with the development of aircraft and spacecraft, applying concepts encompassing mathematics, science and technology. Special fields include aero-structures, aerodynamics, flight dynamics and control, propulsion, and satellite and space integration.

The history of the Faculty dates back to 2000, when the aerospace engineering group started in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. In 2006, the faculty was established as the third independent aerospace engineering faculty in the country, with a main campus of 50,000 square meters — the largest in the country. The faculty has established joint degree programs with MATI University of Russia, Moscow University, and Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN).
