About Us
Educational and research activities of Civil Engineering in KNTU began in 1954. Since the establishment of KNTU, the Faculty of Civil Engineering has undergone many changes and developments to the extent that, at present, it is regarded as one of the most competitive faculties offering a wide range of civil engineering specialties.
The Faculty is now home to nine departments: Structural, Earthquake, Geotechnical, Hydraulic Structures and Water, Environmental, Management Resources, Road Traffic and Transportation, Coastal, Ports and Offshore Structures, and Construction Engineering and Management.
Research
Research activities are performed across nine departments. The main research areas span Water Engineering, Earthquake Engineering, Road & Transportation, Structural Science, Soil Mechanics, and Environmental Engineering.
